Here are some of the features of this amazing diaper:
· All-In-One construction-no need for a diaper cover!
· Fashionable outer fabric made of 100% cotton or cotton flannel (print diapers)
· Inner hidden layer of waterproof 1 mil PUL (100% polyester knit with a breathable 1mm polyurethane laminate backing, this is the outer layer on solid color diapers)
· Super-absorbent soaker made of 3 layers of thirsty ultra-fine waffle-weave microfiber toweling, plus an absorbent body layer of of ultra-fine waffle weave microfiber to help prevent wicking (for more about the amazing properties of microfiber read "Why Microfiber?" below!)
· Unbelievably soft, plush microfiber fleece interior next to baby’s skin (or smooth microfleece, whichever you prefer!) The hair-like structures in the plush fleece grip onto runny messes containing them within the diaper body and preventing leaks
· Adjustable Aplix hook & loop closures with fold back laundry tabs
· Elastic at the leg openings and back of diaper for a snug, leak-proof fit.
· Affordable!

*NOTE: The diapers are designed so that the fleece rolls OUT about 1/2 inch at the leg openings, this prevents wicking! The fleece rolling out at the legs also ensures a comfortable fit for your baby, these diapers will never cut into your baby's sensitive skin or leave red marks!

We tried to find a level of absorbency for our Deluxe Diapers that would meet most babies needs without making the diapers too bulky. If your baby needs extra absorbency for nighttime or naptime consider using a Ducky Doubler! Also, diapers with a solid PUL outer generally are more wick-proof/leak-proof for nighttime diapering. This is because the outer fabric is made of polyester which naturally repells water. Although our new design for the deluxe AIO, with the fleece rolling out at the legs, held up to a 2.5 hour nap on an 11-month-old baby boy with no wicking/leaking, wicking can sometimes occur in diapers with an outer cotton print if they are heavily saturated.

Why Microfiber?

· Ultra-fine microfiber is made from an ultra-fine filament and because of the density of the cloth and the capillary effect it can absorb up to seven times its weight.
· The filament also has many fine gaps for easy air circulation allowing for faster drying times, faster drying times inhibit bacteria growth.
· Ultra-fine microfiber cloth is soft, light, and durable, it resists pilling in the wash.
· Ultra-fine microfiber cloth can be washed hundreds of time with no noticeable wear and only gets softer the more it is washed.
· The waffle-weave version of the cloth is more absorbent and dries quicker than other types of ultra-fine microfiber cloth, it is also thinner than other plush versions, giving the diaper a trimmer fit.
· Microfiber is hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive skin.
· One concern with cloth diapers is that bacteria will remain in the cloth and cause diaper rash and a foul odor. Due to the density of the fabric, it is difficult for bacteria to live or multiply in the fibers, giving the cloth antimicrobial properties. This makes the cloth resistant to the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew, and fungus.

Caring for Your Cloth Diapers

Deluxe Microfiber AIOs

When you first receive your diapers wash them once on hot with 1/4 the recommended amount of detergent. Tumble dry low for at least 30 minutes if planning to line dry diapers, or until dry. This will close any tiny holes in the waterproof polyester laminate (PUL) made by stitching. It will also make your diapers absorbent, and they will get more absorbent the more they are washed.

From then on wash diapers on hot with 1/4 the recommended amount of detergent.

Tumble dry low to extend the life of your diapers or line dry if preferred. Line drying your diapers will reduce pilling of the inner fleece. Solid color diapers dry very quickly! Print diapers take a little longer because of the cotton print outer layer.

For more information on diaper care and laundry routines visit our cloth diapering information page.

Fitted Contour Cloth Diapers

Machine wash hot with 1/4 the recommended amount of detergent.

Tumble dry low or line dry to reduce the pilling of outer flannel. If you line dry your diapers you may want to throw them in the dryer on low for 10 minutes when dry in order to soften them.

Trouble Shooting

Problem: Wicking/Leaking

The most common cloth diaper problems have to do with wicking or leaking.  If  your All-In-One diapers are wicking or leaking here are a few possible causes and solutions:

Cause: The fleece is not rolling out around the leg openings

Solution: Make sure the inner fleece rolls OUT around the leg openings of the diaper and that none of the cotton print is tucked inside the diaper where it can get wet.

Cause: The diapers are brand new and have not been washed or dried yet

Solution: Always wash your diapers when you first receive them and tumble dry on low for at least 30 minutes.  This will increase the absorbency of your diapers and will also close any tiny holes in the waterproof fabric made by stitching.  After this initial tumble drying you can line dry your diapers to keep the fleece looking pretty, but you may want to throw them in the dryer from time to time to keep the PUL working to its optimal level.

Cause: The diaper is too small or the rise too low for the needs of the baby

Solution:  Diapers that don't fit properly can have wicking and leaking problems because the rise isn't high enough or the level of absorbency isn't adequate for the size of the baby.  Consider buying your diapers in a larger size.  We are always happy to answer your questions about sizing, please send an email to custserv@justduckybaby.com

Cause:  The diaper fits but is not absorbent enough for the baby

Solution:  We tried to find a level of absorbency that would be adequate for most babies without making the diapers too bulky.  Extra internal layers would make it harder to get the diapers clean, so we recommend our Ducky Doublers for babies that need extra absorbency.
