Hi there!! Thanks for checking out my "about me" page! My name is Stephanee, and I am the person behind Cloth Babies. I am originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I moved to Los Angeles with my daughter in 1996, met my husband in 2000 and married him in 2002. In 2003 we had a son. In June 2005 we moved to Phoenix, AZ and waited for our new house to be built. We moved into our dream home Jan 2006. We just added one more baby to our household ... a BOY born February 2007. I am a cross between a WAHM and a WOHM. I stay home all week with my children, and work weekend nights as an NICU RN. I have worked in the NICU since 1990!! I can't imagine working anywhere else. I love being a nurse, and being able to have a flexible schedule that works for my family. I was never keen on the idea of cloth diapering. My daughter, who is 14, was never cloth diapered. And my son wasn't cloth diapered until he was 6 months. But he was 100% cloth diapered for almost 3 years! He potty learned a year ago, so I am excited to be cloth diapering a new baby and have the new experience of cloth diapering from birth. Like everyone starting out, I experimented with different diapering systems until I found one that worked for me. I quickly realized fitted diapers with covers were not what I wanted. I love the convenience of AIO's (they're Daddy friendly too!) and the ease and reliability of pocket diapers. I use only Fuzzi Bunz and Mommy's Touch for night time, and have never had a leak!! They're great for extra protection during long car rides and outings too. But... that was then and this is now... I have a new appreciation for fitted diapers. I love Bamboozles! But really any fitted is ok, as long as you have the right cover. My favourite cover is the Super Whisper Wrap by Bummis. I'll never be a prefold girl.... but give me a fitted with a cover, an AIO (that doesn't leak!) or a pocket diaper, and I can diaper anyone! :) Deciding on what kind of diapering system will work for you is a very personal decision.
